ABIGAIL ANASTASIO IS YOUR DEMOCRATIC CANDIDATE FOR THE 184TH CRIMINAL DISTRICT COURT OF HARRIS COUNTY.

Abigail spent a lot of her childhood overseas and spent many years in many different states across the country. Her family eventually settled in Katy, Texas where she graduated from high school, the University of Houston, and South Texas College of Law.

Between college and law school, Abigail was diagnosed with cancer, specifically Hodgkins Lymphoma. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation, and beat it. She remains cancer free 13 years later and even went on to complete an Ironman 70.3.

Abigail taught high school English classes for the Houston Independent School District and attended night classes to get her law degree. She taught at Cesar Chavez High School in Southeast Houston for 7 years and admits she learned as much from her students as they did from her. Abigail understands the value and importance of hard work and long days.

After passing the bar exam, she took a job with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.  Abigail worked countless criminal cases during those years before deciding to open her own defense practice, Anastasio Law, PLLC. She represents people from all walks of life in criminal matters with fervor and integrity. Serving from both sides of the aisle has given her a unique perspective as both prosecutor and defense attorney. This gives her a paramount ability to be fair, balanced, and impartial when compared to those who have only served on the side prosecuting those who are innocent unless proven guilty.

In her free time Abigail travels the world, reads voraciously, studies legal issues, and spends time with her two dogs, Atticus and Finch. Abigail’s extensive travel, starting from childhood, has allowed her to be very open-minded and respectful of all cultures and demographics.
